Seven gymnasts from Horsham Gymnastics Centre, who competed at the South East Regional Qualifiers at Tunbridge Wells on Sunday March 16, finished in gold medal position and will now go forward to represent the South East Region at the National Finals at Stoke on May 31 – June 1.
In the Grade 3 Women’s Groups, Myla Kettell, Amy Barry and Phoebe Rochead beat 15 other groups to clinch their victory while in the Grade 3 mixed pairs, Benjamin Ratcliffe and Alexandra Rogers faced tough competition to clinch their victory.
In the Grade 5 Women’s Pairs, Emily Steere and Natalie O’ Hara produce two stunning routines to earn their gold medal and a place at the national final.
Two other pairs came second, Nathan Young and Dominic Goddard in the Grade 4 Men’s Pairs and Adam Baines and Dominic Smith in the Grade 3 Men’s Pairs, both pairs narrowly missing out on qualifying for the finals.
