Emergency services were called to the A264, Five Oaks Road, Slinfold, on Tuesday, February 4, at 10.24pm to a collision.
The white Fiat had been travelling eastbound when it lost control and collided with a tree. The 33-year-old woman, who was driving, suffered serious injuries and her 28-year-old male passenger, who was also Crawley, suffered serious head injuries.
Two other people in the car, a man and woman, suffered minor injuries.
They were taken to St George’s Hospital, London.
The driver was arrested at the scene for drink driving and has been bailed until March.
