Pedestrian injured in collision at Southwater

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A24 near Horsham.

At 5.40pm on Wednesday, January 29, a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian were in collision on the northbound A24 at Southwater.
The pedestrian, a 52-year old Worthing man, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton to be treated for a broken ankle and cuts and bruises.
Moments before the collision the man had been seen walking alongside the northbound A24, and it is believed that he then went to cross over the road and was struck.
PC Robin Elshof of the Sussex Road Policing Unit at Arundel said: “We are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact us via 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk quoting serial 1068 of 29/1.”
