Royal baby sculpture unveiled in Swan Walk

Horsham’s tribute to our future King, Prince George, was unveiled on Friday, August 2, in Swan Walk shopping centre.

The sculpture is currently on display on the swan mosaic in the shopping centre and will be there until Friday, August 9.

Gill Buchanan, Manager of Swan Walk Shopping Centre said: “We are delighted to be hosting the sculpture and giving the people of our town an opportunity to see it up close. It really brings the national celebrations to our doorstep.”

Simon Stainer, Managing Director of Horsham Stone said: “The arrival of a direct heir to the throne is a once in a generation event and we wanted to do something that would provide a lasting way of marking the occasion.

Local residents were invited to vote for one of three designs in a poll run by Horsham stone.

Horsham stone is currently working to find a permanent home for the sculpture.

  1. I didn’t see the opportunity to vote but if this is the best we can do it would be better not to have bothered at all. It looks like a logo for an international parenthood day.
