Infinity Gymnastics Club Gain First Success

Infinity Acro Gymnasts Club, who are based at Southwater Leisure Centre, have received some fantastic results recently resulting in two Acrobatics Gymnastic Men’s pairs from the club reaching and performing in the recent national gymnastics competition.

After coming second in a regional competition earlier in the year to qualify Adam Khan and Zak Parrott won a fantastic Bronze Medal at the Inter-Regional Finals held recently in Southampton. The competition included qualifiers from 8 regions from England, Wales and Northern Ireland and it is Infinity Gymnastics Club’s first medal from this competition. Adam and Zak performed superbly on the day producing an incredible score compared to their previous competition achievements.

In addition Toby Parrott and Ed Lanning from Infinity achieved a very creditable 7th place at the National Finals in Stoke on 18th May. Toby and Ed won the Regional competition on 3rd March to qualify for this event. Their opposition on the day had also won their regional competitions to qualify and represented 13 regions from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In only their second ever competition Toby and Ed produced a very professional performance which earned them a higher score than they had achieved at the Regional qualifying event.

Infinity club director and head coach Kirstine Dawson said “I am incredibly proud of their performances and look forward to many more successes in the future”.
