14-year-old Nathanael Landskroner from Horsham has made it through to the Grand Final of national singing competition TeenStar.
He will now play one of the world’s best music venues after wowing the crowd and judging panel at the TeenStar Southern England Area Finals on Saturday, landing a place in the Grand Final in The O2 in London.
After taking part in auditions alongside thousands of other unsigned singers across the UK, Nathanael went on to battle in live music showcases for the Regional and Area Final heats. He is now set to perform at the TeenStar 2013 National Grand Final at indigO2 at The O2 in London on Sunday, July 7, 2013. Already confirmed on the judging panel is Choice FM’s and former Radio 1 DJ Ras Kwame, KISS FM’s Charlie Hedges, and Ivor Novello and award-winning songwriter and producer Mark Hill.
Chris Grayston, Events Coordinator for TeenStar, said: “We are searching for an act that not only has the ability to impress an audience, industry judges and A&R associates, but an act that has the potential to become a professional recording artist.
“The O2 is the best place to showcase your talent within, in front of a massive crowd and celebrity judges. It’s going to be a huge event and an experience of a lifetime for all our finalists.”
There are over £20,000 worth of prizes up for grabs throughout the competition this year and the overall winner will be given £5,000 cash to spend on the development of their music, with other cash runner-up prizes as well.
The winner will also be given an extensive publicity package and comprehensive consultation and development package including social marketing, image, and brand to help kick start their musical career.
