Pupils raise hundreds for children’s hospice by laps of the park

Four children from Holbrook School did a run and cycle around the full perimeter of Horsham park six times on Sunday, February 17, in order to raise money for Chestnut Tree House.

They started at 10.30am, taking them approximately 20 minutes each lap.

James Leverett age 8, who is from Holbrook School, Horsham, wanted to do something to help children who are ” sad and sick ” and his Mum Wendy thought of Chestnut Tree House, she then contacted them to find out how he could set the wheels in motion.

James asked some friends to join him, Abigail Judd, Elliott Derham and Callum Manvill.

The four completed their run and cycle with James’ Dad chaperoning them round and managed to raise, between them, in excess of £350 – plus with the help of James’ Nanny, Granny and Abgail’s sister, Olivia, they raised over £60 from passers-by on the day.
