Football, by Andy Robinson –
Horsham fell to an unfortunate 2-1 defeat against Ryman Division 1 South high-flyers Faversham in an entertaining game at Gorings Mead.
The Hornets took a ninth-minute lead, but the result leaves them without a win this calendar year.
Assistant manager Gary Charman told The District Post: “The lads are gutted, but there are a lot of positives for us. Nothing really dropped for us tonight (Tuesday), but the players gave everything they’ve got and that’s all you can ask for.
“We did well for 75 minutes. We’ve definitely played worse and won, and we’ll win on Saturday (against Chipstead) without a doubt.”
