On Thursday, February 6, a list of 66 HMV stores scheduled for closure was released and the Horsham branch was not named on it.
The music, DVD and games chain fell into administration last month and currently operates 220 stores in the UK.
The stores set to close employ 930 members of staff. No fixed date is set for the closures of the stores, which will continue to trade in the meantime.
Nick Edwards, Joint Administrator, commented: “As part of our ongoing review of HMV’s financial position, we have now completed a review of the store portfolio and have identified 66 loss making stores for closure. This step has been taken in order to enhance the prospects of securing the business’ future as a going concern.”
