Cannabis factory found near Horsham, say police

Two people were arrested after police raided a suspected cannabis-growing facility.

A 36-year old woman and a 35-year old man were arrested on suspicion of cannabis production, theft, money laundering and abstraction of electricity following the raid at a cottage and barn in Bar Lane, Copsale, near Horsham.

Police claim to have seized 160 cannabis plants, with an estimated potential yield of about £180,000 per year, plus a car, a horsebox, four motorbikes, laptops, £1,800 and correspondence on Thursday last week, November 8.

Insp Clare McKnight said: “This operation was a result of information from the public. We are grateful for the support we receive for our continuing efforts to combat drug misuse.”

The arrested pair were released on police bail until February 9 while police inquiries continue.

  1. Funny how these two individuals didn’t even get to court for their cannabis growing. Less funny when you know that these people consider themselves above the law owing to their status as paid police informants. These people have been constantly breaking the law for years , with the tacit approval of Sussex Police.
