More than £700,000 in welfare benefits and tax credit payments has been secured by people in Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, thanks to support from Southern Water.
Customers who have genuine concerns about paying metered water bills can ask if they are entitled to any payments they are not already claiming. On average, the service has helped secure about £1,700 for each household it has worked with.
