They flocked to more than 40 specialist local produce stalls, featuring cheese, eggs, bread, arts and crafts and other products. Some traders sold out of their produce and twice returned to the site with replenishments. PJ Aldred, operator of Horsham Markets, said: “The Big Nibble was another great success and this year saw a record number of local producers attend over the two days. Many of the new producers commented on how lovely they found the people of Horsham. We are looking forward to even more of them joining us at our weekly Thursday and Saturday local produce market in the Carfax.
“Once again, we were thrilled to work with Horsham District Council and the Festival of Sound on such a fabulous weekend.”
Cllr Roger Paterson, district council Cabinet member for the local economy, said: “This year’s Big Nibble was definitely the best ever, as demonstrated by the enthusiastic crowd of Nibblers. A huge thank you to all the stallholders for their wonderful local produce and to the celebrity chefs for showing off their superb dishes, which can be made from delicious local produce.”
