A man who accidentally fell from the top of the Swan Walk car park is calling for safety improvements there.
Richard Rodier, 30, from Horsham, spoke to The Resident after a 20-year-old local woman survived the drop with serious injuries on July 15. Police refused to say if the latest incident was an accident or a suicide attempt, but The Resident understands it was the latter.
Mr Rodier sustained a broken and dislocated neck, three broken ribs and other injuries after treading on a beer can and landing on soil six inches from a wall at Swan Walk four years ago.
He said: “They should extend the wall and put the railing further up.”
