Southwater library will be closed from 1pm tomorrow until Saturday, August 4, while its IT and electrical systems are updated. This will allow touch-screen terminals to be installed later in the summer.
Cllr Lionel Barnard, deputy leader of West Sussex County Council, said of the changes at Southwater and other branches: “These remedial works will ensure that branches are kept up to date while continuing to provide a comfortable atmosphere for their readers. Many other libraries in the county are already benefiting from the self-service machines, which can also print off lists of loaned books and check when something is due for return.”
