The police minister, MP for Arundel and South Downs, also took part in a lively debate on crime with Year 12 Sociology pupils. He answered questions about underage drinking, prison rehabilitation and the government’s initiative to tackle troubled families.
Mr Herbert said: “It was a pleasure to visit Steyning Grammar School again and see the impressive new building. I also very much enjoyed the opportunity to take part in a debate with pupils about crime. They were clearly thinking about the issues and they asked a number of challenging questions about topical concerns, such as antisocial behaviour and binge drinking.”
