Horsham students rewarded for Mars experiments

Students from The Forest School won the Nestlé Academy Striving for Success in Science Award at the Big Bang South East fair in Crawley.

And they were runners-up in the Junior Science/Maths category in the regional heats of the National Science and Engineering Competition.

Aran Knight, Roberton Salvia, Calum Robinson, Craig Fowler and Ed Jeffrey won the awards for their project, Living on Mars, in which they experimented to see whether bacteria could survive on Mars. The judges praised their enthusiasm and described their experiments as “excellent”.
