West Sussex County Council and the South Downs National Park Authority are extending a public consultation about the county’s waste.
Stakeholders and members of the public now have until 5pm on Monday, August 13, to comment on the draft West Sussex Waste Local Plan. This identifies the amount of waste that will need to be managed up to 2031 and sets out possible sites for new facilities, including at Brookhurst Wood, near Warnham, and a separate proposed extension to Brookhurst Wood Landfill.
Further information is available at www.westsussex.gov.uk/mwdf and at libraries and council offices. To comment, fill in the online form at www.westsussex.gov.uk/mwdf, email email@example.com or post paper forms to Strategic Planning (Ref: Waste Local Plan), West Sussex County Council, County Hall, Chichester PO19 1RH.
