And it’s goodbye(ish) from him

Today is Steve Goodwin’s final day as Studio Manager at The Resident.

The 31-year-old, who joined the paper in July 2010, is pursuing his passion for all things techie by becoming creative director at Horsham-based BritWeb, a local web design company.

He said: “I’d like to thank the whole team at The Resident for being so awesome – in particular, Matt (Wheeler) for giving me the chance to contribute to and develop the best local newspaper in the history of local newspapers. I look forward to watching the paper continue to thrive and evolve. Watch this space!”

Matthew Wheeler, managing director of HD Publishing, said: “Steve will be greatly missed and we are all sad to see him leave after two successful years.

“The Resident continues to grow in stature, content and popularity. Steve has been a significant and integral part of that progression. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all the hard work – and indeed the late nights.

“Steve will be moving to a local web-based company and, as it transpires, will be working on the new and exciting digital initiatives we have pending. So, not quite got rid of him yet!

“Finally, good luck in your new position and congratulations on your second child, due next week.”

  1. Never was the phrase ‘for he’s a jolly good fellow’ more apt then when applied to Steve. Lots of love and happiness. You are leaving one group of really nice people to join another. Dan is a smashing fellow too.
May success and happiness doggedly follow you! Reach for the stars and fill in the gap with hard graft and fulfilment.
